P.K. Bhagyalakshmi was born in Pazhayangadi, Kannur district, Kerala, India. A self-taught artist, she developed her passion for painting while working as a teacher, nurturing her creativity alongside her professional career in education.

In addition to her work as a visual artist, Bhagyalakshmi is also a prolific writer, having authored several poems and novels that reflect her deep sensitivity and artistic insight. Her paintings have been featured in numerous exhibitions and art camps organized by the Kerala Lalithakala academy, showcasing her unique style and artistic voice.

She has also gained international recognition through her participation in global art events, including the International Group Show in Bangkok (2020) and Fusion Art – 2023, held at the Picasso Gallery in Dubai, organized by the Fusion Art Foundation.
